Message From the Founder

Tammy S. started BeSilvered in October 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in response to being furloughed from her successful career in Hotel Management. Rather than allowing herself to be defeated by such an unexpected blow, Tammy used the pandemic as an opportunity to pursue her lifelong dream of bringing a collection of sterling silver handcrafted & artisan jewelry to the marketplace.

The idea for BeSilvered was born out of Tammy’s love for sterling silver jewelry, a passion that began as an adolescent and only grew stronger through adulthood. To a young African-American woman, Tammy symbolized sterling silver as armor that could protect her throughout life’s many battles.

We Support Indigenous Artisans Around the World

BeSilvered is based in Massachusetts, United States; however, Tammy takes pride in not only supporting skilled and talented craftspersons from her homeland, but also supports talented Indigenous artisans from around the world.

Dedicated to being a platform for local jewelry makers looking to obtain a global voice, Tammy sells sterling and tribal silver jewelry to help enhance the livelihood of economically disadvantaged talent. She has a keen eye for identifying and sourcing timeless handmade artisan jewelry.

Drawing on her meditation practice that goes back to her late teens, Tammy selects unique pieces from around the world that inspire mindfulness in the wearer.

Embracing each customer's diverse physical features, Tammy often selects adjustable pieces to make sizing effortless for the wearer. In addition, each piece of jewelry is handcrafted using various cultural techniques. BeSilvered prides itself on offering a large selection of wearable art from around the world.

When you purchase a piece of jewelry from BeSilvered, you are providing meaningful assistance in the fight against global poverty for artisans and their families.

A Portion of All Proceeds Is Donated To Charity

Tammy is a fierce advocate for children and teens who struggle with mental health. Unfortunately, millions of children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other mental health and learning disorders go undiagnosed and untreated.

Committed to doing her part to help, Tammy is the Executive Producer of a teen radio talk show geared toward inspiring inner-city youth to pursue their dreams in multi-media.

She also volunteers her time mentoring inner-city youth from ages 5 to 18 by teaching them multi-media skills. This volunteer work provides an opportunity to children and teens that ordinarily would not have been afforded to them.

Tammy is inspired by charities that empower children through support of their mental health challenges. As a champion for ending the stigma around mental illness, she donates 10% of every jewelry sale to organizations that help fight childhood depression.

All Products Come With a 100% Money Back Guarantee

Tammy recognizes that, were it not for her customers, BeSilvered would not exist. She also knows that customers have endless choices for purchasing jewelry. Through this understanding, each of Tammy’s customers gets her careful attention. She enjoys getting to know her customers and their styles and is thrilled to provide suggestions. She also welcomes all customer feedback.

Using customer satisfaction as a guiding principle, Tammy treats each of her customers with gratitude and considers it an honor to receive their business. To show her loyalty to her customers, she offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee or a full refund. In addition to believing this is the right thing to do, Tammy also views it as an essential way to ensure BeSilvered's products are consistently held to the highest quality standards.
